Legend
Welcome to Norlisk, an aggressive and irritating country who bullies and oppresses its neighbors. Emperor Luke the VII has just led his great army across the ocean in search of a rich, defenseless and unexploited land. Without the constant harassment, Norlisk's neighbors, The Elementals, fueled with years of pent-up rage, viciously and stupidly assault the cities of Norlisk.
Our Hero
Around the time that the fog settled around the cities and the attacks became constant, Elija appeared on the shores of Norlisk. Using powerful magic to save a village, he then promised to do the same for any city and drive away the fog, if the price was right.
The Hellementals
With their relentless, psychopathic fury the Elementals: Wind Elementals, known to humans as Wicks; Earth Elementals, Crunches; the Water Elementals, Rafts; the Fire Elementals, Sheets; and their nasty puppy-like companions, imps soon fell under the one name: Hellamentals.
The Elementals burned through the small settlements and hit the cities like a tsunami, trapping the inhabitants under an avalanche of fear.
Cities of Norlisk
Yellow Pearl
A port city built on the legend of a poor young boy who found a yellow pearl, and then, through some very confusing exchanges, ended up marrying a princess. Harassed only by imps, Elija can handle this with his third eye closed.
Deerzinsk
A gray town on the edge Tenpenny forest that produces grade A maple syrup. The Air elementals have blown their way through the outer settlements and defenses of Deerzinsk. Elija will have to stock up on Earth spells to bury this gale.
Vari
Is a craggy mountain fortress with a giant dam that supplies the desert with pure fresh water. It is also popular for its hot springs. Which, if you let the attacking fire and air elementals have their way, the whole city will become.
Omelis
At the base of the Sheep Rock Mountains, the people of Omelis have built a city of tall spires, colorful parades, free health care, wheat beer, and good public transportation. The Water Elementals hope to sink this Utopia.
Haina
An old stone city in a mountain pass that, in recent times, had become a thriving trade center, until a small band of Earth and a larger force of Water Elementals blocked the pass and interrupted trade.
Kabwe
A gentle pastoral town tucked in the Zibi Hills, between the mountains and the desert, Kabwe was known for its healthy livestock and massive feasts before the onslaught of the Air elementals and a smaller band of Earth Elementals, which drove away the local herds and with them, the people’s livelihoods.
Sagev Sal
A magical oasis in Skull Desert. There the good citizens bet on magical unicorn races, magic basketball tournaments, magical Elemental and Celebrity death matches; play magical games of dice, magical cards and magical slot machines while taking a magical powder called crystal htem. Many locals believe the medium sized hoard of Fire Elementals, the little Pack of Water Elementals, and the minor clique of Air Elementals assaulting the city is punishment from God and they are willing to pay whatever you want to save them.
Mildura
The oldest city in Norlisk and home of the country’s archives and scholars. It is a tired city that deals with life the same way it deals with the heat, it tolerates it. And so has hired Elija to take care of the unpleasant business of warding off a medium squad of Air Elementals, a little pack of Water Elementals and a little Pack of Fire Elementals.
Tuwa Beni
Built in the hills looking over salt flats that stretch forever, Tuwa Beni has been watching its attackers coming for weeks. Never having anyone wanting the worthless land they occupy, the citizens don’t know what to do about advancing medium sized force of Air Elementals, the brigade of Fire Elementals and the small squad of Earth Elementals.
Linfen
This exquisite wooden village, surrounded by a Joshua tree forest, produces furniture that is universally admired. Linfen is at risk of being scorched by a giant army of fire elementals; the tramping of Earth Elementals shakes the ground, sending residents fleeing for their lives.
Sumgayit
The capital of Norlisk, caught between the ever growing desert and swamp relies heavily on water from Vari. Sumgayit is a beautiful, but inhospitable town that was built on the bones of Elemental slaves. It has a very confusing legal system, which local politicians merrily exploit. The poor working class has been known to chant “end taxation and end representation.” A full sized army of Water Elementals, a decent pack of Air Elementals and a little backing of Earth Elementals waits at the gates.
La Orya
A gold mining settlement in the swamp of Jimya, the locals worship gold as the flesh of gods and make idols and protective pendants out of it. Elija is so happy his hands are shaking- either from the unimaginable riches within his grasp or that now every type of Elemental has rallied for this attack.
Astrahan
Once a white walled gem on the bank of Lake Hurt known for its lotus flowers and watermelons, now that the lake has receded, all that is left is a swamp. Astrahan is facing a small band of Earth Elementals and hordes of all the rest.
Ohpih
Because nearly all roads pass through it, Ohpih is a very lively town. In the swamps nearby is the home of the weed Tahmil; this, with its laid back attitude towards laws, makes Ohpih a favorite place for soldiers to go and waste their ill gotten riches. Giant armies of all but Fire Elementals, are out for revenge.
Corn City
Is a rural town in the flat, boring part of Norlisk. With all the men of fighting age in the army, the Elementals have flooded, stomped, burned and blown away their fields, you will have to fight them all to save this city. Free the people so they can get back to what they do best: growing corn and making big, single-minded babies.
Sukina
The largest city in Norlisk, on the river Snake, is a giant market. It’s only real industry being popular movies and pet rocks. The Elementals are sending their whole force to wipe this soulless city off the map.
